Grove Christian Outreach Center

Grove Christian Outreach Center began in a single-wide trailer and now operates from a 6,000-square-foot, custom-built facility serving the Grove community with food, clothing, and financial assistance. Since relocating in 2013, the organization has experienced significant growth in both the number of households served and the frequency of visits. In 2025, 3,722 individuals visited the center more than 10,000 times. Its client-choice model at The Gathering Place (Williamsburg’s first free grocery market) and community garden help provide families with fresh, nutritious food while preserving dignity and choice.
