Established in 1986, the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank has spent 40 years as a leading hunger relief organization across the Greater Peninsula. With 1 in 8 Virginians and 1 in 5 children experiencing the daily hardships of food and nutrition insecurity, the Foodbank distributed over 2 million meals in the Greater Williamsburg region during fiscal year 2026. With support from WHF, its Mobile Food Pantry delivers fresh, healthy food directly into communities across the Peninsula, helping overcome transportation barriers to healthy food access.
